I’m conflicted
I keep seeing people reblog the Fox news gifs of that anchor saying shit to/about Chris Brown. While I agree that he should be reminded every moment, every second of his life of the abuse he caused another person, it irks me that its a white dude on fox news doing it. That this white guy is getting props from EVERYONE on the political spectrum for one upping CB. My brain automatically goes to a place of this guy wanting to dehumanize a Black man and using that as an excuse to do it. Shit, is there a white celebrity who has gotten as much or more press for being abusive as Chris Brown has? Would Fox be going after that person too? Then I go back to, well fuck, someone is doing it… Maybe I should let this go?… But… how useful is it coming from a person of privilege like that? Race comes into play at some point. I don’t know. I’d appreciate some input on this. I’m open to being called out if anyone wants to put this into prospective.
